The Community Presbyterian Church belongs to God, not to us, we accept as members any and all who desire to join this fellowship of service and grace.
Anyone who can be a Christian can be a Presbyterian!
All that is required to be a Presbyterian is to:
- Trust in Christ as our loving Savior.
- Promise to follow Christ teaching and example for living.
- Commit yourself to attend church and to become involved in its work.
Like other Christians, Presbyterians believe in:
- God–the Creator of the universe
- Christ–the incarnation of God on earth
- Holy Spirit–the presence of God in the world and in the believer
- The Church–a universal company of Christ’s followers
- Forgiveness of Sin–made possible by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus
- Life Everlasting–shown by the resurrection of Jesus
- The Bible-God’s Word speaking to us in our time and place
To Join this congregation you may
Come by baptism, professing your faith in Jesus Christ
Come by transfer of your membership from another Christian Church
Come by reaffirmation of your faith if you have been previously baptized and have
been an active member of a church but are not presently active.
You are welcome to contact the pastor with your desire to join, and together we will find a time to meet with the Session, accept your membership and/or schedule your baptism. We would love to have you become a part of this warm, loving, and serving family of God.
